The Last Minute Nomad
The collection is about the last-minute nomad at this moment in our society.
We all have a nomad which lives inside us. At this moment we are able to travel the largest distances ever.
We want more.
A home and work is not enough anymore.
We want to belong to something larger than our tiny identity and we want to chase freedom and enjoy as much experiences as we can get in life.
In my collection I use plastic bags and light-weight fabrics (white curtain fabrics, light cottons and cool wool) to show the last minute-feeling and the outdoor-feeling to escape from the solid place were we work and live.
The light weight of the garments is important to give the public a free feeling and light feeling from escapism instead of the old nomadic identity, for example the usage of heavy protection fabrics and armybags/tents, we saw in earlier collections.
We escape last-minute from our dusty work desk and grab what we can and carry this with us on the road to freedom.
